HOW MUCH SHOULD I FEED MY DOG?
The amount of food for each Fatty is determined by their weight, age, and activity level following FEDIAF guidelines. The email you receive upon purchase contains the daily amount. Your food should be stored in the freezer until one to two days before you are ready to use and then can thaw in the refrigerator. You will need a small scale to weigh out each batch for daily or twice daily feeding.

HOW SHOULD I MY FATTYS FOOD?
If your Fatty is looking to quite kibble or add more feasting to their diet, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian. However, it is best to adjust slowly. We recommend adding in a quarter of your dogs recommended amount and removing a quarter of their existing, ¾s of their existing and ¼ of feasting. Do this for a week to see how their stomach’s react. Then increase by a ¼ each week until the full amount has been added and your Fatty is officially feasting.

Let's talk about POOP
My Fatty is pooping a lot less frequently, is this normal? should I be worried? We were as shocked as you were to find out that in changing to fresh homemade food that our dogs were only going once a day and was a lot less. This is normal. The food you are now feeding your dog is comprised mostly of nutrients that they can and are meant to absorb, resulting in less waste. Think about it as you are paying for more to be absorbed and less to end up on the ground.
We also found that our Fatties poop was much darker . However, if you notice blood or anything else unusual please consult your vet.

Why Quite kibble?
Please visit our BEHIND THE BOWL to learn why we made this change. Overall we recommend switching to gently cooked food with real human grade ingredients because.
1. Quality: There is a lot of evidence to show that kibble isn’t the healthiest option for your dog. If you don’t want to quite kibble we understand, but please make sure to review your brand thoroughly as a lot have been linked to serious health issues for your pup
2. Sustainability over Profitability: We believe that a sustainable relationship is the future. One where our local farmers are supported and able to produce happy healthy quality products, your canine family is able to have the best for their health and we are able to have an equitable small run business that promotes healthier business practices.
