The Mission

THIS NEVER MADE SENSE TO US.

The more we looked at the bowl, the less any of it added up.

The Question

Before Fatty Boy, there was Ragnar.

Why?
Follow the bowl.
Why does all kibble look the same?
Why did every bag promise the same thing?
Ragnar, the original Fatty Boy
The dog that started the questions.
Why were vets feeding their own dogs differently?
Why didn't any of this make sense?
Question #1

Why didn't this make sense?

We questioned the bowl before there was a reason to.

Every bag looked different. Every recipe sounded different. Yet somehow everything inside looked and smelled almost exactly the same.

How are we okay feeding dogs dried cereal for their entire lives while calling them family?

That question would not leave us alone.

The Conversation

Then we asked vets what they fed their own dogs.

The answer changed everything.

Because normal is not the same thing as right.

The Shift

So we changed the bowl.

He went from ignoring meals... to licking the bowl clean.
And at ten years old... he still acts like a puppy.
Sometimes we have to remind him how old he is.
Question #2

If food mattered, where should it come from?

01
OR-01 Oregon Barley / Squash / Carrots / Sweet Potato / Blueberries / Beef / Turkey
02
WA-02 Washington Beef / Turkey
03
CA-03 California Spinach / Carrots / Sweet Potato / Turkey
04
UT-04 Utah Turkey
05
US-05 U.S. Network Sunflower Oil / Fish Oil / Packaging

We followed the bowl backward.

The bowl only reflects the decisions made before it.
The Difference

We weren't trying to build a dog food company.

We were trying to help our family.

Fatty Boy is what happened when we stopped accepting the answers.
